Miss America's Outstanding Teen Announces Today that Caitlin's Closet
Received Celebrity Dresses

Paris, Nicky and Kathy Hilton surprised Caitlin Brunell with a donation to her charity

Orlando, FL - Caitlin Brunell, Miss America's Outstanding Teen 2008 and founder of Caitlin's Closet, received over 50 dresses donated by Kathy, Paris and Nicky Hilton at her farewell luncheon. The event was sponsored by La Casa Hermosa and took place at the Rosen Center Hotel on Friday, August 15th.

Since 2006, Caitlin's Closet has received over 6,000 dresses from across the nation. What's even more amazing is that since she was crowned in August 2007, over 5,000 have been collected and donated. Over 10 different states have been involved with helping Caitlin accomplish her goal of providing dresses to girls who might not otherwise have the opportunity to have the proper attire for a special occasion.

"I am so extremely grateful and overwhelmed! I want every girl to have the chance to feel the best they possibly can," said Brunell. "We are achieving this goal one dress at a time."

Ami Manning presented the dresses on behalf of the Hilton Family at the luncheon and said that Kathy Hilton has always been a huge supporter of philanthropic causes. When she heard about the work that Brunell has been doing, Hilton and her daughters were anxious to make a donation from their closets to Caitlin's Closet.

"With this donation, we hope to continue to build positive self-images in young women everywhere," Hilton said.

Miss America's Outstanding Teen, the “little sister” to Miss America, has made available close to $3 million in college scholarships to girls between the ages of 13 to 17 in the last three years.
