Building a closet - How you can help

Make a Donation

Caitlin’s Closet enthusiastically welcomes donations from individuals, schools, clubs, youth groups, retail stores, manufacturers.… if you have dresses in new or lightly worn condition, Caitlin’s Closet is eager to match them up with young ladies in need!  The organization will happily accept donations of special occasion jewelry, evening bags and wraps in addition to dresses.  Caitlin’s Closet also accepts monetary donations to help defray the costs involved in our “Opening Doors” events.

Organize a Dress Drive

Perhaps your school or club is looking for a service project.  Consider holding a Dress Drive to create inventory for Caitlin’s Closet.  Often formal dresses are worn once and then relegated to the back of the closet, never to be enjoyed again.  Throw open those closet doors and allow your dress to have a second chance to shine!  The gown that made you feel like a princess can work the same magic for another, less privileged teen.

Organizing a dress drive is easy and fun!  Contact your friends, school mates, neighbors, even recent graduates from your school who may have a well-loved, but lightly used, dress hiding away.  Once all the dresses have been collected, contact Caitlin at brunellfoundation@hotmail.com to coordinate shipping arrangements.

Caitlin’s Closet provides prizes for each gown that equals 10 points and also for gowns in the most needed size categories (sizes 10 and up).  But the biggest prize, by far, will be the knowledge that you helped other teens attend the very same events that you so thoroughly enjoyed.
